AGASTACHES,Herba (Chinese: 藿香 Huo Xiang)

Agastaches is used interchangeably with Herba Pogostemonis, also known in Chinese as Huo Xiang. They are both said to have the same properties and are in the group of herbs called Aromatic Herbs that Transform Dampness. The key characteristics of this herb is to release the exterior, tranform dampness, harmonize the middle and alleviate nausea. It can be used for nausea and vomiting when used with Rhizoma Pinelliae (zhi ban xia).
Properties: acrid, slightly warm, Lung, Spleen,
Stomach.
Action 1: Aromatically Transforms Dampness.
Action 2:
Harmonizes Middle Burner, Stops Vomiting.
Action 3: Releases the
Exterior, Transforms Turbidity.
