Deer Antler - 1/2 oz. bulk 鹿茸

Deer Antler (Chinese: Lu rong) reinforces the Kidneys and qi, nourishes the blood and vital essence, and strengthens the bones and muscles. Found in many formulas to enhance sexual energy. Research has shown that it has a general strengthening effect that increases work capacity, improves sleep, and decreases the rate of muscle fatigue. Comes in very thin slices. Combines well with Ginseng, Eucommiae, Psoralea, Cinnamomi, Cuscutae, Lycii or Angelica Sinensis. Use 3-4.5 grams. Boil with other herbs or soak in wine for several weeks. Antlers are harvested from the deer while they are growing in velvet. No deer are killed during the process. Deer normally shed their antler and regrow them every year.
