Artemisiae, Herba (Chinese: 茵陈 Yin Chen)

Herba Artemisiae (Common name: Oriental Wormwood) is the dried young shoot or flowering tops of Artemisia scoparia or Artemisia capillaris. It is used to eliminate damp-heat in the liver and gallbladder. In China it is used in the treatment of jaundice, and the treatment of eczema. This herb is comparable to Bupleurum (code#43938) in action but is considered less drying than Bupleurum.

Packets can be taken singly or combined with other herbs to make a formula. Use one packet to four cups water. Drink 1-3 cups per day.
