Actions: 1). Clears Heat and Dries Dampness. Coptis is one of the strongest herbs to clear heat, dry dampness, and eliminate toxins. Treats traveler's diarrhea. 2). Sedates Fire. Treats Liver Fire and Heart Fire. 3). Clears Fire Toxin. Treats skin problems arising from Toxic Fire. Apply topically.

Research has shown Huang Lian has broad spectrum antibiotic properties.

Other: This is a very cold natured herb. Do not use for long periods of time.

Packets can be taken singley or combined with other herbs to make a formula. Use one packet to four cups water. Drink 1-3 cups per day.
