Cornus, Fructus (Chinese: shan zhu yu) is an important herb to tonify and stabilize the Kidneys and contain vital fluids. Considered a longevity herb, it is good for the lower back, ears, eyes, reproductive problems, and psychological stability. The Miscellaneous Records of Famous Physicians (ca. 500AD) says it "makes the five Yin organs peaceful." Combines well with Ginseng, Angelica Sinensis, or Schizandra. Use 4.5-12 grams.
