CORYDALIS, Rhizoma (Chinese: Yan Hu Suo 延胡索)

Actions: Invigorates blood, promotes the movement of qi, and alleviates pain. Due to its warmth and aroma, Yan hu suo disseminates the flow of qi, and because it is heavy and firm in texture, it sinks into the blood level of the Heart and Liver where its bitterness drains stasis and its acridity disperses stagnation.

Packets can be taken singley or combined with other herbs to make a formula. Use one packet to four cups water. Drink 1-3 cups per day. Please consult Chinese Herbal Medicine: Materia Medica, 3rd Ed.
