Cuscutae Japonica, Semen - 4 oz. powder 菟丝子

Cuscutae Japonica, Semen (Chinese: tu si zi) tonifies and benefits the Spleen, Kidneys, and essence. This tiny seed is traditionally used for impotence, nocturnal emission, premature ejaculation, and blurred vision due to deficient Liver and Kidney yin and yang. Said to promote longevity when used for long periods, particularly in combination with Dioscorea. Use 9-15 grams in four cups water.

Cuscutae is considered a noxious weed by the agricultural department and is not allowed in the U.S.A. in seed form (which could sprout and spread). You can still use this herb in your formula but you do not need to cook it very long. Add to your cooking herbs and stir well one or two minutes prior to drinking your tea. You can also put the powder into capsules.
