GANODERMA 没药 (Chinese: Ling Zhi)

Ganoderma Lucida (Chinese: Ling zhi, Japanese: Reishi) is the famous tonic mushroom of China; Ling zhi means "spiritual mushroom." According to Shen Nung, author of The Divine Husbandman's Classic of the Materia Medica (ca. 150AD), it "benefits Heart Qi, tonifies the Middle Burner, and increases insight and intelligence." Used traditionally as a qi tonic and sedative and is considered an important immune-enhancing and anti-stress herb. It also reduces hypertension, lowers cholesterol and relieves bronchitis and asthma. There are many legends in chinese culture linking Ganoderma to longevity.

Packets can be taken singley or combined with other herbs to make a formula. Use one packet to four cups water. Drink 1-3 cups per day. Please consult Chinese Herbal Medicine: Materia Medica, 3rd Ed.
