Kirin Ginseng  - 4 oz. powder 人参

 Ginseng (Chinese: Ren shen) is the most famous of the Oriental herbs. Known for boosting energy and stamina, it traditionally is said to strengthen the Lungs and Spleen and improve the digestive system. Research has shown that it speeds the transmission of nerve impulses, increases endurance, and strengthens conditioned reflexes. It has also been shown to have many anti-stress capabilities.

The Kirin ginseng roots this powder is made from are on average 6 years old. It is best used in cooler weather due to its warming properties. If used in the summer when it is hot outside you should use smaller amounts.

Ginseng can be used alone or combined with herbs such as Arillus (to improve memory), Rehmannia (for impotence), or Atractylodis (to increase energy) or you can combine with many other herbs such as Antler, Schizandra, Astragalus, Paeoniae, or Glycyrrhizae and made into a tea or tonic formula.
