Korean Heaven 1st grade Ginseng - 1 oz. bulk (roots) 人参

 Ginseng (Chinese: Ren shen) is the most famous of the Oriental herbs. Known for boosting energy and stamina, it traditionally is said to strengthen the Lungs and Spleen and improve the digestive system. Research has shown that it speeds the transmission of nerve impulses, increases endurance, and strengthens conditioned reflexes. It has also been shown to have many anti-stress capabilities.

The Korean Heaven first grade is the best Korean ginseng available. It is a considered to be very warming. It is better use during the cold winter months and avoid using during the summer when it is hot outside. These are large roots and typically one root is equal to one ounce in weight. You can cut them smaller by steaming for a short period of time until the root is soft. Once soft you can cut with a heavy knife into smaller pieces and then let thoroughly dry.(Picture for this product is of a generic ginseng root. The Korean ginseng roots look very similar to this).

Ginseng can be used alone or combined with herbs such as Arillus (to improve memory), Rehmannia (for impotence), or Atractylodis (to increase energy) or you can combine with many other herbs such as Antler, Schizandra, Astragalus, Paeoniae, or Glycyrrhizae and made into a tea or tonic formula.
