Glehniae, Radix (Chinese: Sha shen) moistens the Lungs and alleviates coughs, nourishes the Stomach, generates fluids, and moistens the skin. Traditionally used for coughs, dryness of the mouth or throat after fevers, and for dry, itchy skin. Also strengthens the pulse. Use 9-15 grams in four cups water.
