Morindae, Radix ( Chinese: ba ji tian) tonifies the Kidneys and fortifies the yang. Traditionally used for impotence, male or female infertility, premature ejaculation, frigidity in women, and irregular menstruation. Also said to be good for strengthening the sinews and bones. Best use is in combination with other herbs such as Lycii, Psoralea, Rehmanniae, Angelica Sinensis, Chrysanthemum, and Eucommiae. Can also be made into a formula consisting of 5 grams each of Cornus, Dioscoreae, Lycii, and Psoralea Corylifolia for symptoms of low sexual drive. Use 6-15 grams in four cups water.
