POLYGONI MULTIFLORUM, Radix 何首乌 (Chinese: He Shou Wu)

  • Helpful for graying hair
  • A tonic herb safe for long-term use

Size: 10 gm

Polygoni (or polygonum) multiflorum (common name: Fleeceflower root) is used for nourishing the power that makes birth, development, and maturation graceful. It tonifies the Essence (Jing) and is used for such symptoms as early graying of hair, sore back and knees, dizziness, and fading vision. It is bitter, sweet, and warm, and enters the Liver and Kidney meridians.  Our East Earth Trade Winds herbalist tells us that Polygoni multiflorum is best known for restoring natural hair color to those with graying hair. Polygonum Multiflorum may increase Melanin a natural pigment that is responsible for hair and skin color. While not all individuals will see a restoration of hair color many have noted other benefits to the hair such as increased manageability and more body.

From a customer who wrote on March 25, 2015:

"I've been using the Polygonum Multiflorum since the end of November 2014 and can see that my hair is slowly getting darker. My temples were totally white but now have dark hairs coming in. Polygonum is known for doing this but it is amazing to see it work on yourself. Hair grows slowly so you have to be patient. It also seems to mildly boost my energy level. I just take one packet and add to one cup hot water and drink daily."

Note: The efficacy of this product has not been confirmed by research. Traditional use does not establish that the product will achieve the claimed results.
