Alismatis, Rhizoma (Chinese: ze xie) drains Kidney fire and promotes urination. Taoists say it is good for vision, hearing, and complexion. Can be used in a Kidney tonic consisting of Alismatis (15 gm), Cornus (15 gm), Paeoniae (15 gm), and Rehmanniae (8 gm). Use 6-15 grams.
